Prayer works.
I don't know who was praying for me today(most likely my mom), but THANK YOU!!!
My day was sooo much better today. there was only ONE fight that the boys had to sit on a chair and apologize. YAY!!
Here's a brake down of our day.
We got up.
The older boys made themselves toast with peanut butter.
(I forgot to eat.) oops.
Then I had a chat with my darling children about what we could do.
I told them if they helped me clean the house we could go to the splash park. Austen started to whine till I told him, little whiny boys don't get to go to the splash park, he kept on kinda whining so I just ignored it and it stopped.*whew* James did his jobs with no whining(as usual). And Logan needed a little motivation. Other then those few small things they did GREAT!
Then they played outside for a bit till it was snack and then nap time. (I put them down for a nap early so we could be at the splash park longer not knowing the weather was going to turn kinda yucky). They all slept, except for James, he doesn't usually nap anyways, for about 2 hours. While they slept I got some of the laundry done. They got up I made lunch and then headed to the splash park.
When we got into the parking lot, before we got out and had fun, I laid down the rules.
1. When it is time to leave, if you make a fuss and/or fight me YOU will NEVER come back, even if nani says she will take you!!!
2. If there are any babies there DO NOT splash around them, IF you do splash them YOU WILL say sorry to the baby and the mommy!
(call me a mean mommy if you want but that is one of my biggest pet peeves, kids not paying attention to who is around them and not caring even if they do see its a baby)
And that's it two simple rules. hehe
So we got out of the van(after the kids repeated what the rules were) and had fun for about 45 minuets when the clouds came out and the wind made it kind of chilly. So I told the boys it was time to go and get slurpees.(That made them come a little easier. hehe)
And getting slurpees went really well too(they wanted to come in and pick their own). I unloaded the stroller(yes just to get slurpees) and we all went in and picked and pored our own, James got the privilege of getting daddy's, and then we dropped James off at daddy's work to hang out. And Austen, Logan, Caelyn and I all went home. Caelyn went back to bed for her after noon nap and the boys played.
Then daddy came home and mowed the lawn. THANK YOU, DAVID!! I raked up the grass(that's when you know you should mow more often, when you have to RAKE up the grass after cutting it.) LOL.
When that was done and I got a call from David's dad, saying he was ready to meet us, so I took Logan to Torrington(its the perfect middle point from here to Olds.) so he could have a sleep over. I came home and David and I made supper. We ate, I changed Caelyn and put her to bed, once she was settled, I hugged and kissed James and Austen and went to my step class(my fave part of Tuesdays and Thursdays. Yoga on Thursdays).
Now I'm home stinky and feeling great!!
Time to get clean though, so I don't make David sick with my smell.
So again, THANK YOU SO MUCH for praying for me today!

Monday + Scavenger hunt = VERY BAD IDEA!!
Yes, I tried to have a scavenger hunt with my kids. It worked for a little while, then we had to WALK home from the last thing on the list ; a feather. We had to go to nani and papa's house to find a silly feather too which is on main street getting there was fine. But coming home. holy man!!
It all started when I woke up this morning, I thought to my self 'hmmm...we need something to do other then sitting around the house(since David took TV from the kids for a week for dropping the Wii), so I went on the computer and searched for stuff to do with kids in the summer and scavenger hunts came up several times. So I thought it would be a great way to make our walk fun, so I wrote down a bunch of stuff I thought would be fun and easy to find. while I am doing all this stuff to get ready for a "FUN" morning/day the kids are already fighting and arguing and making my head hurt. But I didn't give up hope of a good day. I went through with it, partly because I had already told the boys we were going to go for a walk and they get even worse if you don't follow through with what you said.
Anyways!
We finally got out the door, after MUCH not listening and just being boys(I guess). It was fun for a little while, I gave James my little camera so he could take his own pics. and I had David's.
Well I think that's all I have for tonight its late and it was a very long day.

Great start to my day.
So this morning I got up to my two youngest sons, Austen and Logan fighting, so I just let them finish their fight and then made them each sit on a chair and face each other. Then when they were ready to say sorry and forgive each other. Man are they stubborn, they sat in their chairs for a good 15 minutes. But thankfully it only usually only happens once, then when its over they are great friends for the rest of the day.
The rest of the day went really well. I got all my dishes done, the recycling in the van ready for Olds, then I had some time to just sit with my kids outside in the sun just relaxing. It was a great morning after the boys got their fighting out.
Times like that where I can just sit and relax with my kids makes me wish I could keep up with the house work so I can have more moments like that. On that note I have decided to pick up a book again, but this time I have asked my hubby to help me with it. The book is called The house that cleans itself. http://www.mindystarnsclark.com/house.php I really hope it helps me, cause I can't seem to keep it under control.
Well I guess that's it for tonight.
